I’m not a big Facebook user. I couldn’t tell you what changes the latest update made, and I don’t even know where to find the birthdays anymore. But I do have to use Facebook at work. I’m in charge of creating and managing all of our ads, so I have to spend about 30 minutes a day on it, and lately I’ve noticed a problem that annoys the hell out of me. It takes two clicks to do ANYTHING on Facebook now.

Click on a link in the sidebar? That’s two clicks. Check your messages? Two clicks. Check out those pictures that got posted of you at that crazy party last weekend to make sure there’s nothing incriminating in them? You guessed it, two clicks. The back button even takes two clicks when this happens. The BACK BUTTON. On your browser. What kind of broken javascript mess is this?

It’s not just my desktop and laptop either. I went to Facebook on my iPad and saw the same behavior. I only care because I have to be on Facebook at my job, and while I’m not losing huge amounts of time because of this, it’s still annoying when I have plenty of other work piled up to do. Comon Zuckerberg, get some of your geniuses on this. I know you’re all smart enough to fix it.
