The Mahoney Family Foundation supports the education and training of those in Nursing and Teaching professions through scholarship programs.
This logo needed to feel strong and iconic to fit firmly into the non-profit world, but also reflect the Irish heritage of the family. By blending a contemporary monogram logo with the Celtic knot I was able to create something that feels thoroughly modern and clean, but is unique to the Mahoney Foundation. Originally appearing in the 3rd and 4th century, knot patterns became an integral part of Irish Celtic cultures. To this day they continue to be a recognizable and important part of visual history throughout Ireland and for those of Irish-American heritage.
