Funko VHS Retro Tees

Working with Funko to bring give their VHS tees a home in Walmart was a great experience. Beginning with the basic A-frame shape that’s instantly familiar to anyone who browsed a local video store in the 90’s, I rendered out several permutations that ranged from pre-merch end caps to in-aisle solutions. Once we settled on the form and design, we took some “staff” photos to showcase the shirts in a fun way that fit the theme.

To tie it all together, I created some “OUT OF STOCK” spacer boxes to account for the different product counts and to give Funko collectors a limited edition memento when store associates aren’t watching.
